Tungsten Rod and Tungsten Bar
Les Tige de tungstène is made from high-purity tungsten metal, known for its high density (about 19.3 g/cm3), high melting point (around 3422℃), and excellent hardness. It is ideal for extreme conditions and is widely used to manufacture high-temperature furnaces, arc electrodes, and radiation shielding materials. Tungsten Rod/Bar Surface Finish
Depending on the intended applications, tungsten rods and bars have three main surface finishes as follows:
- Black: The surface is “as swaged” or “as drawn”, retaining a coating of processing lubricants and oxides.
- Cleaned: The surface is chemically cleaned to remove all lubricants and oxides.
- Ground: The surface is centerless ground to remove all coating and to achieve precise dimensions control.
