Hafnium Ingot

Hafnium (Hf) is a lustrous, silver-gray transition metal with a very high melting point (2230°C) and high density (13.31 g/cm3). Hafnium Ingot is made of high-purity hafnium metal or its alloy, exhibiting excellent resistance to high temperatures, corrosion, and radiation. It is ideal for manufacturing high-performance materials, heat exchangers, and nuclear reactor components. HM can supply high-quality hafnium and hafnium alloy ingots with various specifications for multiple applications.

Hafnium Ingot Applications

  • Nuclear Industry: Hafnium has good neutron absorption and is commonly used in control rods and shielding materials for nuclear reactors.
  • Aerospace: Hafnium’s high melting point and corrosion resistance make it an important material for aerospace engines and rocket nozzles.
  • Electronics: Hafnium ingots are also used to make high-performance semiconductor devices and gate materials in integrated circuits.
  • Alloy Additives: Hafnium can be combined with titanium, tungsten, and other metals to form high-strength, high-temperature-resistant alloys that are widely used in aerospace, and military applications.

Hafnium Ingot Packaging

The Hafnium Ingot is carefully placed in wooden cases or cartons with additional support from soft materials to prevent any shifting during transportation. This packaging method guarantees the integrity of the products throughout the delivery process.
