Aleación de plata y wolframio
Tungsten Silver Alloy, also called silver tungsten alloy, is a durable refractory metal alloy. It belongs to two structural false alloys and is a metal matrix composite material. Due to the large difference between the physical properties of metal silver and tungsten, it can’t be manufactured by melt casting method and is generally obtained by powder metallurgy technology. HM provides high-precision tungsten silver alloy products in various forms, including rods, plates, sheets, bars, tubes, blocks, pellets, wires, and discs, all crafted to ensure exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. We manufacture large, complex parts using isostatic pressure molding technology, while smaller parts are produced through extrusion, molding, and injection molding techniques. Additionally, rods and sheets are fabricated using forging and rolling processes.

Silver Tungsten Carbide Alloy
HM can also supply high-quality silver tungsten carbide alloys. It is prepared by the tungsten carbide skeleton fusion infiltration method, the material is extremely hard, and its contact resistance is slightly higher than that of silver tungsten. It has excellent resistance to fusion welding and arc corrosion. When a high temperature is generated during the arc combustion process, the free carbon contained in WC can slow down the oxidation of tungsten or reduce tungsten, slowing down the overall oxidation of the material, which can effectively improve the antioxidant capacity of the contact and the stability of the electrical properties of the contact under energized state. Silver Tungsten Carbide Alloy is mainly applied in the following fields:
- Electrical Field: Silver tungsten carbide alloy can be used as contact materials for circuit breakers and other switching appliances, with resistance to moisture and heat, and corrosion resistance.
- Electronic Field: Silver tungsten carbide alloy can be used for manufacturing electronic components and connectors, such as integrated circuit packages and transistor connectors.
- Energy Field: Silver tungsten carbide alloy is used as electrode material in solar panels and fuel cells.
- Sector aeroespacial: Silver tungsten carbide alloy can be used to manufacture high-temperature parts of aircraft engines and rocket nozzles.

Tungsten Silver Alloy Production Process
Tungsten-silver alloy, similar to the tungsten-copper alloy, is a pseudo-alloy of copper and the refractory metal tungsten and is generally produced using powder metallurgy. Since silver and tungsten are immiscible, the infiltration method is used to achieve bonding between the two materials. After compacting the porous tungsten preform, silver is allowed to infiltrate it, followed by sintering. The material is then machined to achieve the required geometry as specified by the customer. The specific processes are as follows:
- Compaction: The porous tungsten preform is compacted.
- Infiltration: Silver is allowed to infiltrate the compacted tungsten preform.
- Sinterización: The infiltrated material is sintered at high temperatures, forming a dense solid.
- Recocido: The sintered products undergo annealing to remove internal stresses and improve toughness and ductility.
