Zirconium Plate

Zirconium Plate is manufactured of high-purity zirconium metal or zirconium alloy, exhibiting excellent resistance to high temperature, corrosion, and radiation. Its thickness ranges from 0.5-50 mm. HM can supply high-precision zirconium plates with tight tolerances and various specifications.

Zirconium Sheet

Please refer to our Zirconium Sheet if the thickness is less than 10 mm. Zirconium Sheet is often used for applications requiring flexibility or lightweight material in chemical processing, electronics, nuclear fields, etc. For thicknesses under 0.5 mm, please consider our Zirconium Foil.

Zirconium Plate/Sheet/Disc Production Process

• Materia prima: Seleccione alta pureza zirconium powder.
• Pulvimetalurgia: Mezclar con aglutinante y compactar en un tocho verde.
• Sinterización: Sinterización a alta temperatura para eliminar el aglutinante y aumentar la densidad.
• Tratamiento térmico: Recocido para aliviar la tensión y mejorar las propiedades.
• Tratamiento de superficies: Limpiar y pulir la superficie.
• Corte y personalización: Cortar o personalizar según las necesidades.

Zirconium Plate/Sheet/Disc Surface Finish

Depending on the intended applications, zirconium plates, sheets, and discs have three main surface finishes as follows:

• Negro: La superficie es "tal como se estampó" o "tal como se estiró", conservando una capa de lubricantes y óxidos de procesamiento.
• Limpio: La superficie se limpia químicamente para eliminar todos los lubricantes y óxidos.
• Suelo: The surface is centerless ground to remove all coating and to achieve precise dimensions control.

• Nuclear Power Industry: Zirconium plates/sheets/discs are used as structural materials for fuel elements in nuclear reactors, especially for the manufacture of fuel cladding in nuclear reactors.
